Sunday Stroll Invitation

"Perhaps, after all, our best thoughts come when we are alone. It is good to listen, not to voices but to the wind blowing, to the brook running cool over polished stones, to bees drowsy with the weight of pollen. If we attend to the music of the earth, we reach serenity. And then, in some unexplained way, we share it with others. " ~ Gladys Tabor

Sometimes I walk alone and, as you may have noticed in my Sunday Stroll Post from last week, I hear that music of the earth about which Gladys Tabor writes. The other day, Tanka and I were walking and I commented on the song of the creek to him. He, being of a slightly contrary nature, said that it wasn't singing; it was talking. Definitely talking, he told me, he could hear it very clearly.

I never know, when I set out for my walk, who will join me. My faithful canine companion almost always tags along, and sometimes a cat or two. Once in a while a little boy strolls along, one of my energetic sons, which changes the nature of the "serenity" of the walk, but allows me to share the experience with a lively companion. It's all good.

If you have time to stroll today, and if your weather permits, please post about about it on your blog and then come back here with a comment and a link to your post. You may use the Sunday Stroll button at the top of this post on your post or side bar if you would like. I will add participant names to this post so other strollers can walk through your garden too.

I was able to get out into the garden and take a Sunday stroll today. We enjoyed some nice spring like weather, before another weather system is going to move into our area.
It's nice to be strolling again.

Well I'm a little late getting this set up, but I have a stroll today down memory lane. It's a video of my Dad playing the banjo for you and Limerick and Senryu. I sure hope I have your permission to publish this. If not I don't have a stroll.
