Sunday Stroll - Evening Light

The garden is in full bloom right now,
and filled with friendly little faces,

but the soft light spilling through the clouds
and down onto the meadows,
lured me from the garden
,
Deer were nibbling leaf shoots in the neighbor's field,
and a little boat was moving slowly
across a very quiet lake.

Three of my children ran on ahead of me,
sparkling in the evening light.

And leaving footprints in the sandy lane.
I walked slowly behind... listening to the birds,
and the easy wind,

and my children's voices floating back down the road toward me.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather,
I wish you peace and good company.

What a wonderful place you found to raise your children. It fills me with happiness to know there is room to run, swim, row, daydream and climb trees.

Mom,

Yes, there is room to Grow and all that entails. :)

Pom Pom,

Summer is good, isn't it? I hope you are enjoying yours!
