Sunday Stroll - Water Colors

After the three days of rain, I went out to walk through a world
sweetly painted with water colors.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you color and light.

Hi Aisling Beautiful photos,Beautiful colors !

I love nature after a rain. Sometimes I look at flowers, or the sky in the evening, and seriously *want* to get out my watercolors! I envision how I would mix the colors! Nature is so glorious!

happy day!

How pretty and fresh everything looks. The summer flowers are coming on strong and draw us outside to sit and breath in their fragrance and tend to their needs of space and nourishment.
We had a big to do at church and are late getting home. So I'll not be strolling today.

Yes, things were very pretty and fresh today. I was soaked to the knees when I came in from my walk (I strayed to the fields rather than staying on the garden trails.) A clean pair of jeans and a mug of hot tea, and I was "right as rain." ;)

I hope you'll share some photos with us next week. In the meantime, relax and enjoy the evening!

I love the grasshopper! He looks happy. One more day of school for me and then I hope to allow myself some time to adjust to summer. I'm looking forward to some quiet time.

We finally have some sun here today. After so much unusual rain in Idaho it is a welcome sight and the garden is so beautiful after all the rain we've had!

Hi Aisling,
Beautiful stroll! I wasn't able to stroll this weekend, but I enjoyed yours. I too love the gardens after a good soft rain to re-energize plants... I also love to plant when it's cool and over cast... I think the plants like it better too!

Beautiful--I love grasshoppers. You know, my mom tells me they have no control over where they "hop." She read somewhere that they just take off and where they land is where they land. I'm not sure if that is true...I'll have to look into it! :)

What a picture that first one is!! Fantastic. The flowers are beautiful too. I especially like the reddish iris. I've never seen that color and it is great. Do you have bugs there? blackflies, mosquitos, noseeums??? They really make it impossible for us to be out much at certain times of the day and certain weathers, like humid, moist, cloudy, no wind. No one ever blogs about bugs, do they? :<)

Sorry for the delay in answer all these nice comments. This was a busy week; the last week of school for my children and a full school week for me.

Heather Jane and Deb, The rain really does give a lush, beautiful appearance to the world, doesn't it?

Ernestine, Thank you! Glad your faster internet is up and running! It makes a big
difference!

Jessica, Let me know what you find out about the grasshoppers!

Nan, That red iris is "Red at Night" and the dark purple behind it is "Night Owl." Thank you for your comment on my grasshopper photo. It was the most cooperative little subject. :)
