Hiatus

I'm going to be taking a little blogging hiatus... If any of my regular Sunday Strollers would like to take over hosting the event for a while, I'd love that. Please comment here or email me to let me know.

There is just so much going on in my life away from the computer... including my own schooling and helping my daughter get ready to go away to a university in another state... among other things. I will try to pop in and read your blogs when I can and may occasionally post a little update.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather... I wish you peace.

Oh no! I will miss you very, very much! Please email me at maston.karen@gmail.com so I can check on you every now and then. I completely understand all the "to dos" and the milestones you have in front of you now.

good day, dear aisling,
wishing you much love and peace as you make this passage with your daughter....may i say it is fraught with emotions as i remember my two sons going off on their own...one for two years, a church mission...very very hard for a mama who adores her cubs...
be well and may happy be always by your side.

again hello, my dear, i will consider if i can commit the time at my little box on sundays for strollers, to keep it going and maybe to bring in some others who read me once in awhile...i will let you know by checking back here....it is enticing but i am always biting off more than i can chew.
xoxo

Linda, Thank you for your thoughtful remarks. Please don't feel obligated to take over the stroll... but if you decide you'd like to take it on, I know it would be in good, beauty-loving, hands. What more could I ask for. Thank you for always being such a caring friend. :)

Pom Pom, I will most certainly email you soon. I will be delighted to keep in touch with you. Thank you for always leaving such sweet and friendly notes!

I've been thinking of taking a break myself, but probably not until I go back to work in the fall. The season for blogging will come around again, and until then, enjoy your time!

Abbie, I agree with you. I intend to keep this blog up and may have a random and rare post, so that those who care will know that I am well. I intend to enjoy this time and may well come back with good stories to tell.

I can imagine you needing a break in the fall as you return to work and encounter the complexity of being a "working Mom." It can be done well, but it will take much of your time and energy, for sure.

Take care, my friend!

I will be missing you!! I did not have a computer for over 2 weeks.
Did not miss at first but then missed sharing with my friends.
Now trying to learn a new computer.
Take care and I understand what is taking place in your life.

Aisling,

I TOTALLY understand the need for a hiatus! I actually have taken an unplanned one from blogging since Mother's Day with everything going on with family, birth of a new baby, work, school, coursework, so many demands on my time. I've been finding Facebook so much easier and quicker to post updates and check on friends and family, and feel like I've neglected my blog. Sometimes, real life gets in the way . . .

All the best with the changes and demands on your time, especially with your coursework and getting your daughter ready for college! Good stuff!

Hugs,
Ruth

Ruth, Yes... It makes sense that YOU would understand! lol. We only have so many hours in a day!

Take care of yourself and thanks for the nice comment here! :)

Hi Aisling!
Yes! My moth WAS a pandorus sphinx! I looked it up and it's a match. I had never seen one and I wonder if they are new to Colorado. We do have Virginia Creeper, a common host plant for the p.d.m. Thanks!

You're welcome. The caterpillar was a wild character. We were fascinated by its stay in our butterfly garden. I believe it may have been eating wild grape leaves, but my memory is a little "iffy" on the particulars. :)

Gosh, I think I was on an unofficial blogging hiatus but I feel like I'm back now and oh no! You're on hiatus. I'll have to keep checking in. I am really enjoying your photos and your writing too!

Jessica, Thank you for leaving me a comment. I'm still checking in from time to time. I am duel enrolled and have finals at one school this week and at the following school the next week. Add to that all the busyness of being a mom in the summer (Festivals, the beach, play dates, etc.) and I just do not have the quiet, meditative time that I like to have for writing and photography.

I will come by your blog and catch up since you're writing again! :)

Ok, now I understand where you are. Going away to college? You look too young to have one going away.

Miss you.
