Saturday Snapshot

I see dissarray.  We are painting the kitchen ceiling, so all of the kitchen furniture is in the living room where I am sitting.  The clutter makes it difficult for me to relax... so I take a deep breath and ignore it!

hear the noisy percolator.  The coffee maker chatters and gurgles as it makes my morning cup of hazelnut.

smell the blended aromas of wood smoke and coffee.

taste a wedge of un-frosted carrot cake, left over from dinner last night.  It tastes satisfying with my first mug of coffee.

feel content, enjoying the quiet of morning before the busyness of the day.

Wherever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you contentment and warmth.

Oh goodness...yes, I have the same sort of troubles trying to relax amongst chaos (even the exciting kind).

Sending warm thoughts to you from brrrrrr, frigid PA!

I love percolators. I really do. We don't have one at the moment (for some reason they don't last long) and I am thinking about hunting for one soon. Maybe in the summer when I have more time to drink huge amounts of coffee if I feel like it! Ha! I hope you are staying warm and that your kitchen is put back together soon!

Sounds as if you had a great day. I have Dutch chocolate coffee I just got a few weeks ago.

Do you know you can turn the word recognition off?

Oh yes,
when things are not organized
I am the same way.
Feel very out of sorts.
I love percoltors :)
The sound reminds
me of many years ago
when I was growing up...

Would love to see a pic of your kitchen. This was such fun to read.

Ah, I can relate about the difficulty in clutter, I find it almost impossible to ignore! tell more! I have such fond memories of my mom's and mother-in-law's Farberware pot. I think my dad still uses one!
