Garden Fresh

We eat "from the garden" all year long... dilly beans and salsa and concord grape juice. Still, those "jars of summer" cannot compare to eating fresh from the garden. It is lovely to skip down the garden rows and bring in great big handfuls of herbs for a green salad.

Today's bounty: cilantro, parsley, dill, sage, chives and sorrel.

Nice to be getting a few things, sounds like soup almost. I have most of mine planted and getting lots of rain to nourish all. Just used my last jar of roasted peppers so will talk to my plants for more soon.

We have only a small garden so no veg, but we do have a couple of small apple trees, a vine and lots of herbs in tubs so at least some of what we eat comes from the garden.
