First Snow

Yesterday was Grape Harvest day on our farm, but we woke to the season's first snow.  By the end of the harvest, I was soaked from head to toe.

The scenery was beautiful yesterday, but it reminds me of all the unfinished tasks we must scurry to complete before the real winter sets in.

As for today, on to canning grape juice. We make our grape juice just like my mom did when I was a child.  So, that means good memories and good juice!

Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you peace of mind.

Yay for makers of grape juice! It sounds tasty!
Yes, the cold is coming and it sounds like once it comes to your neck of the woods, it stays.
Have a great week!

The juice sounds real good, but keep the snow. I had vines at one home I would get over 30 gallons of juice. I miss those times. We would eat it slightly frozen sometimes for dessert.

Goodness - first snow already. Glad you managed to get your grape harvest in - enjoy your juice. We are still having quite mild weather here thank goodness - winter is long enough without it starting in October.

Mmm, grape slushies! Sounds good. We got 25 gallons last year, but this was a smaller harvest. Some cold spring weather caused some bud damage.

Oh my! We are not there yet. In fact, the weather has been beautifully warm of late. This is what happened last year as well and then right as we went into January the snow started falling heavy and didn't stop till March! I am hoping that doesn't happen again this year. Your first snow looks lovely though...all pretty still.
