Flow
"Every particular in nature, a leaf, a drop, a crystal, a moment of time is related to the whole, and partakes of the perfection of the whole.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you the energy and awakening of the approaching spring.

MMMMMM that syrup always sounds the best this season. It was 71 today, but i still found traces of ice and snow.
Wow! 71! We hit 55 and it felt amazing! We have lost a lot of snow, but there are still drifts and a lot of snow in the shade of the trees.
Lovely images, Marcie. I won't mention how hot it was in my black car as I drove home from the grocery store today. I rolled the windows down, of course, but my old self (that grew up in a subdivision) wanted to hit the air-conditioning button even though it's only March. I smacked her down though. ;)
Once again, I was lazy - I didn't even start to tap the maples this year. I don't have a good setup for boiling the sap down (just a big pot) is my excuse. Maybe next year....
I talked to my Mom, who also lives in Tennessee, and she told me how warm it was. Lovely!
We tweak our maple syrup process every year, so far. I liked last year's set up, but apparently Brian thinks we need to "re-vamp" again. So... trees are tapped, saps flowing, and we are debating the boiling down process specifics. lol.
I love this time of year, because Maple Syrup is our first harvest of each year. So... even if we just do a little bit and call it good, I'm happy.
Thanks for chiming in! I bet someone near you will make syrup and have some to share or to sell! :)
A friend told me about a Norwegian word for "spring fatigue" and it's varslapphet. Isn't that interesting that the Norwegians have a word for that? I like your idea of spring energy. In Colorado the weather is so erratic that our bodies can get confused. I am enjoying your book - so helpful!
I do think it is interesting that Norwegians have a word for that. I think my fatigue is of the "late winter" (aka "Too much winter) variety. Spring heals and energizes me.
Glad you are enjoying the book. :)
