On days like this,
when the sky is so full
of tenderness and sympathy
that it leans down
and touches the earth
to offer comfort...
you must get out and walk in it.
Walking through the gloom,
you discover that the world
is not gray after all
but full of hidden color,
glowing,
and hopeful.
Walking through,
let the sympathy of the sky,
and the soft singing
of the fields
of the fields
fill you
so full of tenderness and sympathy
that you lean down
and touch the earth
and offer comfort...
and, perhaps,
take some comfort there as well.
take some comfort there as well.
Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you comfort.

Ernestine
Very nice , both words and pictures fit together well.I love the orchids, i have only seen them in a few places.
Your words are so soothing and peaceful. And your photos are gorgeous! What are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th flowers? They are unusual to me and very beautiful.
Sandra, Thank you! :)
Ernestine, I'm glad to bring you a smile!
Steve, I don't see those native orchids often either. I had a feeling they would be blooming now and so headed down to the one place I've ever seen them. There were a few more than there were last year, which was good!
Laurie, I added a plant key to the bottom of the post. There is one I am unsure of (so it has a queston marK) but I will get out my wildflower guide later and check my guess. :)
I was going to ask you what the flowers were and then I saw your key! Very helpful.
Bladder is certainly a great name for the one flower isn't it?:)
Yes, I've always thought it was a bit of an UGLY name for such a cute little flower, but it is definitely descriptive of the shape of the flower! lol
It is strange isn't it that you live on the other side of the world but still have the same wild flowers as us here in the UK.
Elaine, That is strange, but in a nice way! :)
This post feels like balm and blessing for my weary, aching heart.
Thank you for taking me along on your walk. <3
Debbie, I'm so glad you came by to share in the comfort. Hugs!
Vraiment très joli. Very nice.
