Sunday Stroll: Beach Combing

Up over the dune grass,

to where the lake washes our toes,
with cold water and soft tide.

We will find our treasures there,
in colored stones,
and beach glass.

The beach glass and colored stones
might be tucked into a pocket,
or left for others who walk these lengths of sand.

We will recognize the serenity
of the lake at dusk
in the rhythm of our breathing.

Where ever you are, what ever the weather, I wish you serenity.

Too much fun, I love to look for treasures. The cup carrier in my van always has mementos of my excursions.I always share with others.

Marcie, so sorry about your dad.
This post
like all of your writing
brings me a sense of peace...

Ernestine, Thank you. When he passed several years ago, I think it was during the time I did not have internet and was rarely blogging. I appreciate your expression of sympathy. I am glad my writing brings you peace. That is exactly what I hope to share with my blog in this frantic world.
