Great quote. I never get to eat my strawberries either -- the kids and birds eat them.

Kate, It's true, isn't it? The trick is to revert to childlike behavior as the strawberries ripen.. run to the field and indulge! *grin*

A pink strawberry flower? I've never seen such a thing! Mine are all white with yellow centers.

l.l., This was an "ornamental" variety from my local nursery. It does get tiny, tasty little berries though, and makes a nice ground cover in my butterfly garden. My wild strawberries are all the "usual" white with yellow at the center. It's pretty though, isn't it?

Aisling, I love that quote. I'm keeping it. I just today got to see your Sunday stroll and loved the pictures. It is truly looking like spring there finally!
Maybe this Sunday I can take a stroll too. I've missed it.

Robbin, How nice it would be if you could "stroll" on Sunday. I truly hope you are up to it. I'm going to pop over to your blog to see if there is an update on Amy.
