I took a stroll this morning, as clouds gathered. Many of the blossoms remained folded and tucked into themselves as I walked... but later in the day Haiku walked beneath sunnier skies and took these photos. Her close-ups are gorgeous, taken with an artist's eye I think, so I'm borrowing her images for today's post (with her permission.)

Beautiful photos, Haiku! Looks like she's following in her mother's footsteps! Thanks for sharing!
so beautiful! Thank you for continuing to share!
Gorgeous! I love both peonies and iris. The one she took that was right down in the flower was beautiful.
I can just imagine how pretty those peonies will be when they open all the way!
Haiku sure knows how to take pretty pictures. Hats off to her skill.
Ruth, Rapunzel, Joyce,
Thank you so much. I'm going to pass your kind comments along to Haiku!
Abbie,
Those are Japanese or single peonies, so they are more simple than the usual variety... but just gorgeous and fragrant too.
Mom,
She has a good eye and a lot of patience for taking her shots from an interesting persepective.
Thank you all for coming by!
Enjoyed strolling with you.
Haiku is taking after her mom.
A talented young lady - she is!!
Beautiful photos; great closeups. I love the irises and am tempted to add them to our back garden. We'll see . . . gardening opens so many possiblities for spring, summer, and fall time beauty. You're right (as noted on my blog), I do love being in the garden and working in the dirt.
Ernestine and Jessica,
Thank you for the nice comments on Haiku's photos. I love her photos... I like how she sees the world.
Jessica, I would really, really miss the irises if I didn't have them. I've loved them since childhood.
Lovely photos of lovely blooms. I just love strolling through other people's gardens.
Linda,
Thank you! I enjoy it too! :)
stunning photos!
I wish I could smell the fragrant yellow iris!
Linda,
Thank you. I'll pass that along to my daughter.
Tabbie,
My favorite fragrant iris didn't bloom this year. It smells exactly like yellow cake baking!
