Since this is the last Poetry Thursday of August, I am posting this haiku... however, I plan to fully enjoy these last few days of the month, which are also the last few days of my "summer vacation" from college.

farewell to august
a haiku for the last days of august, by Aisling, 8/27/09
Wherever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you peace in these last days of August.

We've had a warm goodbye as August comes to a close. I love my September.
Our past few days have been somewhat cool. I'd love a couple of warm days to round out the month, but I think we're in for cool and rainy days.
I like September too, but there is always something bittersweet about summer's end.
I hope your week is going well! Thank you for visiting. :)

Good luck as your college classes start up again!
We started school VERY early here and I've been in school these last few weeks in the hot, humid summer weather, nearly melting!
My own college classes start next week (Sept. 1); not quite sure yet how I'll fit it all in . . . but I'm thinking of you.
Ruth (aka grandmother-to-be! Woohoo!)
Ruth, Thank you for the good wishes for my fall semester. Good luck with yours too! I'm excited because I finally start the classes which teach me to be a teacher: Math for Elementary Teachers, Art Education, Movement and Health in the elementary classroom... That sort of thing.
Your life is just filled to the brim with good stuff, Ruth!
