Note: I used a photo editor to "equalize" the colors in the last photo so the rainbow would be more visible; all other photos are unedited.

Awesome! We nearly made twin posts today! The distance and stretch in your shots is awesome ... and that rainbow shot is pretty great too! On the title - Isn't it interesting the way that the skies look so different at different times of the year? Great pics!
We did, didn't we? Thank you for your nice response to my photos. I agree that the skies look different at different times of year. Even without the colored leaves on the treetops, I think I could look at a photo of October skies and recognize the time of year from the weightiness and color of the clouds, and from the way the light slants through the sky. Thanks for returning my visit! :)
Such interesting clouds. A little enhancement to bring out the rainbow was very pretty. There must be sometime in the airwaves, I want to do a collage of cloud pictures. I have some ideas of what I want and now have to wait till they show up to be photographed.
My skies have been very cooperative in producing beautiful clouds, rainbows, sunsets, etc. October is a wonderful month for photographing the sky (and all the world really!) around here.
yes --- here in Florida, our October skies are unique as well, they are almost always very blue and very clear and I just love them and enjoy them as a part of the fall season every year
Thank you for commenting. I would love to see your clear blue skies of October. The few times I've been to Florida were in the winter and the skies were pretty blue then too! :)
Ernestine, I believe you about your evening skies! The sky is a constant source of beauty to me. If things are looking down, look up! There is always something beautiful to see. Even a heavy bank of clouds is beautiful in it's own way.

Aisling - beautiful images.
The skies in the evening here at my country home - are breathtaking.
