Meal Planning Rut

It is that point of the year at which I am tired of winter foods, but it is not yet time to pick fresh bounty from the garden.

For these next few weeks, I am going to try this:
Movie Night and Munchies on Monday
Taco Tuesday
Wacky Wednesday (Just picking something fun  and unusual)
Thirsty Thursday (Get out the Juicer and have fresh juice and a salad or sandwich)
Friday Feast (loads of fresh fruit and veg)
Soups, Stews and Stirfries on Saturdays and Sundays

As Monica on Friends used to say, "I know!" The other night I stole leaves from my basil-under-the-lights to make my fave summer salad - basil, chives, garlic cooked a little bit in olive oil, and chopped tomatoes. It was heaven. I so long for peas and lettuce and yellow beans.

Your salad sound yummy! We have had fresh sorrel and chives from the herb garden, but it will be wonderful to walk out to the middle of the garden, look around, and say "THIS is what's for dinner." :)

I like your plan!
Maybe I need a juicer!
Today the Jamaican food truck is coming for Teacher Appreciation Week, so I shall have a tasty lunch.
I appreciate YOU, good teacher.
