it would be a rich palette,
of ripe red
and jeweled-crimson
Of rain-polished gold
and celestial blue.
September's paintbox overflows
and the whole world glows.
I have been elbow deep in canning tomatoes and the second crop of beets. I have also been working extra hours at my day job, leaving little time for blogging or leisure. So I am busy... but it is a good kind of busy.
Where ever you are, whatever the weather I wish you color and deep awareness.

Oh yes, the jewels of Autumn...
Don't wear yourself out, with all that "doing, doing, doing"...

Excelentes fotografias.
Um abraço e bom fim de semana.
Lovely words and lovely photos as always! Beets are pretty, but I don't like to eat them. It sounds like you are doing a fine job harvesting and preserving! I hope you can put your feet up this weekend.
I just love the colours of September...bright and crimson but also mellowing.
Will try not to! Can't stand to let all the garden bounty go to waste though. Thank you for visiting!
Thank you, Francisco! Have a wonderful weekend!
I used to dislike beets intensely, but they are do different straight from the garden. Also commercial beet pickles are sweetly spiced, and I make a more savory version that I think compliments the earthiness of beets more harmoniously.
Thank you for coming by!
You are so right! I think the mellowing is the loveliest aspect of September's palette.
Yes, the beautiful colors of September.... <3
Beautiful
and memories surface of my time doing this in the past.
Miss it
but not possible now.
But you made wonderful memories surface
so I thank you...
Oh Debbie! So good to have you visit here! Of course, I've barely skimmed the surface of all the possible colors of September.
