Color and Life in the Late Summer Garden

After a few days of rain, let's seek a little color in the garden today.

This little fellow was up at dawn,
helping me to load the car for the farmer's market.
He has a nice home under the rustic apple wood patio table.

The color is seeping into the sedum
and the patch is alive and humming with honey bees.

There is so much color in the garden in these late summer days.
In rainbow order, here are some of the vibrant hues.

Red

Orange

Yellow

Green

Blue/Indigo

Violet

Where ever you are, whatever the weather,
I wish you beautiful surroundings and the very best company.

Marcie, thank you
so much for remembering me
Wish I was not nervous
and braver...

Ernestine, I've learned that "brave" people are sometimes brash and foolhardy. But it takes true courage to be afraid and move forward through the fear. You have so much inner strength and grace; it will remain with you. Evidence of that is in what your Jamie said to you about how well you handled your consultations, with good questions and a level head. You are amazing!

Pom, Thank you! I was actually at a flea market, but I treat it like the farm market and so do a couple of others. As a vendor, it is much more affordable than our local farm markets where you have to pay so much to be present. You have to sell a lot of onions to afford those costlier markets!

I was with a good friend and we always have a blast! Plus it is fun to meet and chat with those wandering through.

That stem on the pumpkin is huge. Eating a BLT for breakfast, but don't have any lettuce in the garden. had a fish fry and a few friends in for a campout over the weekend. Lots of kids running around, the border collie had his hands full tying to herd them.Have a go cart and someone brought a minibike, so it was noisy until I cut them off.Had a great time sharing fun and stories.

Do I understand correctly that you are selling your wares at a farmers' market? That is so great. You really are farming!
