"The time of the falling leaves has come again. Once more in our morning walk we tread upon carpets of gold and crimson, of brown and bronze, woven by the winds or the rains out of these delicate textures while we slept.
But in October what a feast to the eye our woods and groves present! The whole body of the air seems enriched by their calm, slow radiance. They are giving back the light they have been absorbing from the sun all summer."
~John Burroughs, "The Falling Leaves," Under the Maples
There aren' t nearly as many Sunday Strollers as there used to be...
at least on this quiet little blog!
But, a stroll in autumn? Who can resist?
If you have time this week for a Sunday Stroll, please post about about it on your blog and then come back here with a comment and a link to your post. You may use the Sunday Stroll button at the top of this post on your post or side bar if you would like. I will add participant names to this post so other strollers can walk through your garden too. I'll check back often and try to keep the list updated.
Steve is strolling Out on the Prairie. It is a Bison Bonanza, you don't want to miss!

I'm packing breakfast to take out and enjoy the day
Steve, Perfect! Hope you have a beautiful day! :)
We had a Sunday stroll this morning down at the lake. It was a lovely morning but with a. Autumn chill on the breeze. The leaves are only slowly changing colour, I think once we have a frost the process will speed up but I am so enjoying the Autumn as it progresses.
Elaine, It sounds like a lovely autumn there, and very similar to what we are experiencing here. We have not had a frost yet either, and seem to be having a slow, linger autumn. A beautiful season! Thank you for chiming in. LOVED the photographs in your last post!
We had a Sunday stroll this morning in bright sunshine. Now it has clouded up and rained. No frost here yet but that could change tonight as we are expecting cool temperatures.
