Filling January

January has been overcast and dreary, and flying by very quickly.  I always endeavor to fill January with as much color and light as possible.  We are filling our bellies with food from pantry and root cellar, reflecting back on last year's garden, while planning the next.

We have had more candle light, more board games, and less outdoor exercise!

We have had snow and freezing rain, then snow again. Hopefully,  conditions will soon be right for some cross-country ski excursions through our quiet woods.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you all the joys of January.

I'd like to know more about your root cellar. Have you already posted about it??

Hi sweet M! Aw, that soup looks perfectly scrumptious! I hope you have a few sunbeams shining through the windows very soon. Stay cozy!
