Middle March

Let's walk out past the swamp

 And along the north creek

And take the trail through the eastern cedar wood.

Let's keep walking beyond the meadow where the birch trees grow,

Past the sprawling juniper

And the white pine.

Let's keep walking until we come to the ridge,
where the horizon shines

 As the day
sinks into the lake.

As we walk down the steep hill to the moss trail,
let's breath in the quiet of these northern woods.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather,
I wish you the peaceful restoration
of walking in nature.

Thank you, both. Just wanted to share my walk with someone. :)

Very nice walk, I could almost hear some frogs at the lake calling

Today my walk will be in a business expo, so I needed a long, slow dose of nature to hold me over for a couple of days! This did it. I wish the frogs were calling, but they are quiet so far. Still a little snow in the shadows, and in the forecast as well.

Just beautiful Marcie… thanks for taking us with you. It looks much the same here. We have not had snow on the ground for a couple of weeks, which is very strange for NH in March, but we might just receive some come Sunday-Monday. Who knows?

Thanks for your comment on my post today, I'm glad it resonated for you.

Laura, Thank you for returning my visit. I did love your post today. Very meaningful. We have had a few fat lazy flakes in the air today, but no accumulation.
