April Seventh in these Northern Hills

Instead of April, there is winter outside my window.

From where I sit, I see the sun setting into the steel blue lake,
Sassy little waves stomp and toss their foamy white hair.

Spring hovers nearby... unseen.

Wherever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you comfort and joy.

Golly! All that ice. Spring has been discouraged, but it's waiting to bloom in hidden corners! The first ray of sunlight and warmth will do it!

If there's any comfort in it, we haven't planted a thing save a few onions and have freeze warnings for the next two nights. I'm trying to enjoy it while I can, though, because within the next month or so we'll be covered in and battling annoying bugs.
Love your description of the lake.
Have a great weekend!

Rhododendrons are starting to bloom. That little bit south of you makes a difference. It is still cold, freeze warning tonight.

Sandra, Yes I know! Again today, freezing rain and snow mixed. So ready for Spring!

Toni, It is true that warm weather brings its own challenges. I feel ready for them though!

Steve, Hope that freeze didn't do any damage! Rhododendrons are a long way off here!
