Two for Tuesday

Misumena Vatia , aka Goldenrod Spider

Honey Bee

The sun is brilliant today, so there is a lot of shadow and light in these photos.
If you enlarge them, the detail and beauty of these two garden helpers is more noticeable.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you beautiful light.

This is the second post I have seen on that spider. They must be abundant this year. I love my asters as they shine forth when everything else is in retreat.

That is the same crab spider as I posted on the Prairie Petunia.as a final idea to leave with all who were Monarch tagging with me last night, we offered the statement ,"it's just a bug". The participants were to offer a reason for it being more than that.over 1/3 of the foods we eat are there because of insects pollinating.

Tabor, That variety of spider has starred on my blog on several occasions. The only spider I know the full Latin name of, in fact! I feel the same about asters! Thank goodness for asters and mums!

Steve, So true! I have been so keenly aware of pollinators over the past decade or three. They are so vital to life as we know it, and yet mostly overlooked by folks. We sure would notice if they were not around to do their important work!

Thank you both for visiting. Enjoy the day!
