Signs of Autumn approaching, August 8, 2007, by Aisling 1) Wild Apples on the back hill 2) Wild Grapes ripening 3) Maple leaves touched with sunshine and autumn color
Katie, It is so hot this year that a lot of people are wistful for autumn! Like you, though, I'm sad when gardening season is over. I'll put in a few late season crops to compensate. I can maybe get in another crop of spinach and snow peas, and may put in next year's garlic. Thanks for the nice comment. :)
I've been watching the summer season turn too. The sunlight has been different this last week or so (when it's been able to shine through the rain clouds we've had!).
Catherine Mary, We've had the clouds but not the rain. It just keeps missing us! The night air was cooler last night and, you are right, there is a difference in the light now.

So beautiful - funny I was just wistfully thinking of the autumn season - I love it so much though I mourn the passing of gardening season a bit.
