Sunday Stroll - In the Village

I took my walk in the village today. At the bottom of the spillway above, a pool of foam bubbles and swirls, but its quiet edge, reeds grow. These two mallards were swimming in and out of the reeds as I stood on the river's edge.

Here some steps lead from the boardwalk along the pool created by the spillway up to the sidewalk at street level.

In the garden near the street, these roses still bloom in bushes heavily loaded with ripe carnelian rosehips.

Here a footbridge spans the river.

Here the river spills into the bay.

Everywhere I looked, this blue November sky met my eyes.

Thank you for the Sunday stroll.
I enjoyed seeing your area. The blue skies look like the Nashville area. 72 degrees at the moment.
Warm thoughts and blessings sent your way.

Ernestine, Thank you for visiting me here in the north! It is in the 50s, I believe, but that is warm for early November. Enjoy the day!

What a great place for a stroll, Aisling. The mallards are so fun to watch- almost always in pairs like that. Thanks for the great pictures!

Beautiful pictures! I love those sunday Strolls. Sounds like you had a good day.

Joyce and Mandie,

Thanks for coming by to see my stroll. The mallards are so cute. We've had them in our own pond in other years, but this year the cattails kind of took over. :)

Oh boy, that was a nice walk today! Now that I have a good camera, when I learn to use it I may join your Sunday Strolls. I may go out today though, and create a Monday hike or something!

I think November has the most interesting skies. Sometimes they are just blah and grey for weeks on end, and then they can turn around and be the bluest blue imaginable. And November sunsets can be so pretty too.

Blessings on your week.

Oh, how I loved this, Aisling! As I drove through town yesterday, without the camera, I thought to myself that I should come back and do a Sunday Stroll walking along the sidewalks. But I stayed home and read instead. Great minds, dearie! I'll do it sometime.

Marge,
We'd love to have you join our strolls!

Nan,
I would love so much to see your town too! I hope you do it soon, but staying home to read makes a lot of sense also! :)

Margaret,
Thank you. It was just a lovely afternoon stroll.

Thank you, all three, for taking the time to visit my stroll.
