"Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle ... a seed waiting to sprout, a bulb opening to the light, a bud straining to unfurl. And the anticipation nurtures our dream."-
~ Barbara Winkler
We had a fairly warm day yesterday (41 or 42 degrees F) and lost some of our snow. I peeked through my gardens, but any "seeds waiting to sprout", any "bulbs opening to the light" are still safely tucked beneath the earth. Nevertheless, anticipation does indeed nurture my dreams of spring. The garden catalogs are now arriving, fast and furious. I won't actually order very much; mostly heirloom seeds for our vegetable gardens. It is fun to imagine the gardens in bloom, and perhaps I will find one "must have" flower to sneak into my order.
If you have time to stroll today, and if your weather permits, please post about about it on your blog and then come back here with a comment and a link to your post. You may use the Sunday Stroll button at the top of this post on your post or side bar if you would like. I will add participant names to this post so other strollers can walk through your garden too.
Look who's strolling:
Margaret at Periodic Pearls
Ruth at Musings of an Everyday Woman
Abbie at Farmer's Daughter
Joyce at Tall Grass Worship
Cloudhands at Uncarved Block
Jena at Becker's Farm

Lovely sentiments for today! It's funny - I posted a poem about Spring, I've visited two blogs this morning that posted about the coming of Spring, and you have a post about anticipating Spring! It must truly be on its way!
City Mouse, Either that, or all we bloggers are just good-and-ready. *grin*
Thanks for coming by. I read the poem at your blog this morning. It made me think of another poem and I was going to track down that reference before commenting on your post. I hope I think of it! :)
How delightful. I posted my stroll before heading over here, and I think we're all thinking springtime with the welcome thaw!

Margaret,
I can't wait to head over and see your stroll. I'll add you to the list first! :)
Hi Aisling!
I'm delighted to say I've strolled today, too. I'm also enjoying the thawing temps. My stroll is posted at: http://everydaywomanusa.wordpress.com/
Enjoy the day, fellow strollers!
Hi Aisling- I just posted my shots. Like you, I was wondering when my bulbs will make their appearance.
I've strolled, too, Aisling! We can all compare our thaws and see who gets to find the first robin one of these days.
Off to add a couple more names to the strolling list... :)
Me, too. Add me to the list. Who said great minds think alike? Of course we do. Hoorah for all of us who see spring; if nowhere else than in our hearts and minds.
Mine is up now. :)
