Sunday Stroll - Rain-kissed

I walked, with rain falling all around me, through sodden grass and down a slick garden trail. The daffodils which have opened in the last several days are ragged from wind and storm, and dripping with rain.

Each cupped leaf in the garden is like a chalice, saving precious water for thirstier days.

This season is running past so swiftly... Soon the daffodils will be fading and tulips will be the most colorful stars in my garden.

For now, the daffodils, and hyacinth, and two early miniature tulips are brilliant and sunny, despite the overcast skies.

We're past daffodils and tulips now I'm afraid. I love photos with raindrops on petals.

I enjoyed strolling with you. No rain in my area - a very warm day for a change. Have a great day.

Brenda, I love the raindrops on flower photos too, or dew in the early morning.

Ernestine, Enjoy your day! It sounds like a good one.

Wish I were there to actually walk with you. I'll just be happy with the virtual walk. Talk to you tonight?

Mom/Cloudhands, I'll try to be on for a little while tonight, but I have finals this week, so I also have more studying to do!

Thanks for going along on my walk with me... even if virtually.

Love the photos and the raindrops! Strolling in the rain is always a wonderful discovery. There's something so natural about raindrops on daffodils...I suppose because they both signify April to me!

Margaret, I agree with you about rain and daffodils. I'm positive that I take photos of that "match made in heaven" every year! Thank you for visiting my stroll! I can't believe it is almost May!

Here we had periods of both sunshine and rain today. Some of our rains yesterday were torrential downpours so many of my daffodils are now flat on the ground. Your stroll inspired me to get out and take photos anyway.

Tabbie, I'm so glad you did!

Beautiful pics Aisling - it sure looks like old man winter has finally given up his fight and allowed Spring to take over in your part of the woods. We have had some strong storms here this spring but we really needed the rain so it was a good thing in the end

I think winter is gone... hopefully we don't get a snow in early May (as has happened many years!) The signs of spring are so welcome, such a relief!
