Busy!

Of course we are exceptionally busy here on our farm... It is spring!  Asparagus is coming up... a handful at a time so far.  We are prepping rows for planting.  Onion sets have gone into the ground. We are eating fresh herbs every day and getting enough eggs to sell a few.  We have also been processing honey (we lost some bees over the winter, so we are going to save this honey and start over.)  I am trying to learn to render the beeswax for candles and other applications.  Always something new to learn!

Along with that, today I had my first speaking engagement as an author, and a book signing.  What fun!  Though it wasn't a large crowd, I loved the "round table" discussion that I had with the gardeners that came to listen.  I have as much to learn from them as they do from me.

Perhaps over the next couple of days, I will put my presentation into digital form and share it here.

Wherever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you joy and good company!

Love that rainbow! And you got the whole of it in the photo. Jealous. ;)
How exciting to have a face-to-face discussion and book signing. How I wish I coulda been there. I'd love to see it online though.
Our asparagus is spotty this year so I'm going to redo them in a bed with better soil.
Great to hear from you!

Spring is a busy time for all gardeners both edible and decorative. I seem to be constantly on the move at the moment, which is no bad thing, just so many jobs to get through. Well done on your first talk - you are a braver person than me. What a lovely complete rainbow nothing half-hearted about that one - did you manage to find the pot of gold?

Busy bee, indeed! I haven't begun to garden yet. Maybe this week? I bet things are looking good around your bit of earth.
