Because I received several comments on the interesting spider in a recent blog post, I decided to post a few other pictures of this species from over the years.  If you are not "creeped out" by extreme close up photographs of spiders, there is a short article regarding this species here.   The article states that the spider can be as large as a wasp, though I've never seen one that large.  I found this species extremely fascinating, because it can change color like a chameleon.

Come back soon.  I promise not to have spiders in my next post! ;)

Where ever you are, whatever the weather,
I wish you time to look closely
and to appreciate all of the wonders of nature.

Sandra, I don't think I am a spider person either. lol. I'm sort of neutral. Don't really want one on me,of course, but I'm glad they exist cause they keep some of the other bugs at bay! Thank you for visiting! How nice to meet you!

Pom Pom, Thanks for coming back and looking. It was fun to go back through my blog and look for all the old photos. Did some strolling through memory lane too! :)

Wonderful, and I guess most will shy away from associating with spiders -myself included, even though they are unique in their own way. Thanks for sharing and appreciate your note. Warm greetings!

Interesting! It does seem to mimick the colors of the flowers, except the last one. Very nice photos, by the way.

B. - I sort of shy away from them too, except with my camera! Glad you came by! :)

Laurie, There was wild mustard of just that yellow growing all around that last spider. I guess it takes a little while for their color to change. Thank you for your visit and your friendly comment! :)

Linda, You are welcome. Glad you stopped over to see! I think most creatures are interesting, if we look a little closer.
