Sunday Stroll - Snow and Sand

My daughter and I walked down the trail to the park,
in the sparkling hours of a March afternoon.
All over town, smiling people were walking their dogs.
As we walked along the river, the mallards splashed and preened.

A maze of snow fence framed our first glimpse of the bay.
Looking out toward the open water,
dreams of warm sand and sunshine began to stir.We tried to touch the blue, blue sky...
my daughter and I.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you happy wanderings.

Beautiful! My heart soars when I see the sea! Swings? Yes, please and wind enough for my kite! Happy week, Aisling!

Pom Pom, This sea is actually an "inland sea" --- one of our beautiful Great Lakes. It was a beautiful day, and the swings were wonderful! I hope your week is happy and bright. :)

Wild Magnolia, Thank you! I enjoyed taking them. What a pleasure it was to walk without boots and a winter coat! :)

Oh Aisling, that was lovely. I loved the words about touching the sky and seeing your daughter swinging. Beautiful. Life is moments made of such as these.~~Dee

Dee, Thank you for visiting with such kind words! I agree about life being made of such moments. To me, these little shared quiet moments are what life is all about.
