Sunday Stroll - In the Winter Wood

In the winter woods,
there is a quiet stillness.

Our feet crunch through the icy snow,
and the heavy branches
reach down to greet us as we walk.

Everything rests.

The meadows sleep,
beneath blankets of snow.

We walk together,
barely speaking,
letting our pace be slowed,
by the winter wood.

Wherever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you peace.

this is a time of rest for the land. I so enjoy snowfall when out away from city sounds by myself.

This is beautiful! I love the path at the end. Is it just for walking? On your land?

Thank you, friends, for visiting and letting me know you were here. Life is keeping me a little too busy for much blogging, but there will be slower days when I get back to reading and writing blogs. Thanks for sticking with me! :D
