Sunday Stroll Invitation

For the first time, in way too long, I am offering a Sunday Stroll Invitation.  I may be a little slow on posting the links since I have much to accomplish today here on the farm...

My stroll will be posted shortly.  Less pictures than I intended, but the tablet that I am using as a camera did not function well.  Despite that, I had a lovely walk.

Saturday Supper

Just my youngest and I were at home this evening.  He is ten now and shares my love of  stories and quiet moments.  It is a poignant pleasure to spend time with someone who is growing so fast.  He is becoming something new and something more every day, and yet keeping that bright lively spirit that he has had since his first breath.  

A little while ago, we sat down together to a very simple supper of roasted vegetables and lemon quinoa pilaf.   Now, he is nibbling a few of the left over roasted chickpeas and reading near me on the couch as I write this.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you quiet moments.

Deep Winter Hush

In a quiet moment between snowfalls and wind gusts, a red-tailed hawk sat on the sycamore tree and looked in through my kitchen window.  In my quiet moment, as the sink filled for dishes, I stood very still and looked out the window.  I felt blessed to see such beauty looking back at me.  I felt that the hawk and I shared the beauty and hush of deep winter for a few moments before he lifted, through the cedar branches, into the blue, blue skies.

Fresh Start

Will be blogging at a new address. Thank you for all of my blogging friends who continue to drop by to see if I have ended my long, long haitus from blogging.  I have, but am beginning fresh, with a new blog.

Hiatus

I'm going to be taking a little blogging hiatus... If any of my regular Sunday Strollers would like to take over hosting the event for a while, I'd love that. Please comment here or email me to let me know.

There is just so much going on in my life away from the computer... including my own schooling and helping my daughter get ready to go away to a university in another state... among other things. I will try to pop in and read your blogs when I can and may occasionally post a little update.
