Saturday Snapshot - On a Sunny January Afternoon

As I step in from outdoors, on a sunny January afternoon,

I hear country music drifting up from the kitchen,

I see sunlight slanting in through the western window, washing the walls with gold.

I smell roasted butternut squash cooling on the counter.

I taste my Lavender Orange (Badger brand) lip balm

I feel warm and happy in the golden afternoon.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather I wish you quiet moments of reflection.

Marcie, what I have is
Medical Care Alert
you have to pay a yearly payment and if you discontinue you receive total refund
of month's left.
Cost $400 and something a year so I figured about 30 something a month
Did not want this (you can google) but I have to have it as balance is horrible and doing
all kinds of exercise, walking slow, eating good, resting and staying busy.
Do not know anything else to do and do not like this
My body and mind are in a different place as I think of all the things I want to do
when sitting still and when moving difficult.
Mind is 50 and body I have taken such good care of are not at the same place.
I do know if I had not taken care of myself through the years this would have probably happened sooner then 80. Sjogrens is horrible along with the rheumatoid
arthritis. My words are so sad but I have so much to be thankful for and you are one of the reasons :)
So I am not a good aging person :)

Glad you got some sun. Before you know it, we will be planting a new batch of squash!

Ernestine, You are continuing to take good care of yourself, and though you do not want it, the Medical Alert is a very practical move at this time. I know of someone else who just got one and it is such a relief for her family. They will know right away if she needs help. I think you are a wise and wonderful aging person! I am thankful for you too. :)
