Ah, the Dandelion!
My husband considers them weeds but my 7 year olds think they are beautiful and very special so I guess a Dandelion can be one thing to one person and quite the other to those who tend to find beauty where God planted it

In general, I think that men and dandelions have a very strained relationship! *grin* Personally, I think they are wonderful! Thank you for visiting me!

I like them, too, especially when they're mixed in with violets in my lawn :) My neighbors are not amused.

Joyce, lol! Yes, they do tend to send their seeds flying off across property borders and such! As far as I'm concerned, your approach is best! It's nice to "see" you!

I saw a neighbor's expanse of lawn the other day. It was speckled with dandelions and what a beautiful sight it was! I do understand, however, the weed factor and how these plants can be very annoying to a gardener. The greens do make a very nutritious vegetable!

I have always liked the dandelion, they are sunny and if you don't go barefoot the pickery leaves are no problem. We have determined that we really like the natural look and only mow to keep the neighbors happy and the snakes easy to see. I actually think a meadow around the house would be nice if it weren't for copperheads and timber rattlers.

It's probably my favorite flower.
It makes a fine wine.

Thanks for chiming in, folks! I'm off to the bus-stop!

Beautiful Aisling. You have the talent for Haiku I think. I don't love dandelions although they don't bother me much either. :) ~~Dee

Dee, I like them all year long, but I LOVE them in late April/early May when things are just beginning to bloom here.

Thank you for your nice comment about my haiku. :)

I think my very favorite flower is anything yellow, with long petals.

Simple and beautiful. And good eating! Sorry I haven't been around as much as usual lately! Packing and such.

Aisling, your image of the humble dandelion and it looks so regal.
I had to look twice to make sure it was a dandelion.
I love your poetry.

Brenda, SmallPines, Ernestine,

Thank you for taking the time to let me know you enjoyed my dandelion post. I love the "kindred spirit" vibe of all these comments. :)

Take care all!
