Sunday Stroll - Sunday Blues

1) self-sown ajuga along the trail; 2) iris blooming one month early 3) heart-leaf brunnera (aka perennial forget-me-not) 4) unidentified bird in the pond (I'm working on identification.)

Hi Aisling! I like that bird's long beak. The blackbirds have been bossing their way around my feeder. The little brown wrens seem to humbly step aside when they land and make their messes. I hope you have had a smooth week. I know it's a busy, busy time of year in the academic world. Whew. Thinking of you . . .

Pom Pom, It's funny that you say you hope I have had a smooth week. I am having car trouble and my husband accidentally took both sets of keys for the other van with him to work today (he is in a company truck.) So, I'm stranded, but he will be home before I have to leave for class. I have one son home with me, who had a routine check up scheduled for the morning, so we are stuck home together unless I can find a neighbor or friend to get him to school. What a day! I need to take a deep breath and start fresh!

Beautiful. I especially like the bud photo, and wow, I just love it when you manage to capture wildlife. These are my favorites (currently). So much innocene, strangely, so much survival. You can go a lot of places just observing wild animals.

Jessica, I just go out in my backyard usually. I snapped some of a turkey in my flower garden two days ago, but I was taking them through the window so I wouldn't scare her away. So... not the greatest photos!

Thank you for your nice comment! :)
