Sunday Stroll Invitation

A Walk

My eyes already touch the sunny hill.
going far ahead of the road I have begun.
So we are grasped by what we cannot grasp;
it has inner light, even from a distance -

and charges us, even if we do not reach it,
into something else, which, hardly sensing it,
we already are; a gesture waves us on
answering our own wave...
but what we feel is the wind in our faces.

~ Rainer Maria Rilke (translated by Robert Bly)

Hopefully, I can borrow a camera today so that I can share my little corner of the world with all of you. If you have time to stroll today, and if your weather permits, please post about about it on your blog and then come back here with a comment and a link to your post. You may use the Sunday Stroll button at the top of this post on your post or side bar if you would like. I will add participant names to this post so other strollers can walk through your garden too.

Look who's strolling this week:
Me here at the Quiet Country House
Cloudhands at Uncarved Block
Margaret at Periodic Pearls

Great idea, A! I'll be back! I'm going to find another good poem for you, too.

My palette is similar. I now realise I forgot to photograph my daylilies, some of which look much like yours!
