Sunday Stroll - Breezy

Just a few photos from the garden after a week of rain... Too breezy for good clear shots, but here is what's growing in my garden on this windy hill. Orange Butterfly Weed, asclepius, above is opening in the butterfly garden, as is a tiny patch of purple asters.

I'm allowing my pincushion flowers to go to seed, so that they will fill in a little more. This little moth does not mind the fading blooms.

The artic daisies are a sweet, fresh focal point in the garden this week, as they sway in the wind.

This little fellow is chomping his way through a wild milkweed which is growing where there ought to be a big patch of dill and lovage, beneath the apple trees.

To every one who strolled today, thank you for taking the time out of your holiday weekend! It may take me a little longer than usual for me to read and comment on all the strolls (after several busy days, my homework is piled up a bit and I've got to catch up!) To everyone reading this, where-ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you contentment and joy.

Pom Pom, Thank you and welcome!

Linda,
Thanks so much. Hope to make the round to other strollers soon (though some may be tomorrow. A test deadline looms!)

The butterfly weed is really pretty. That caterpillar is enjoying itself on the milkweed.

Linda,

I try to leave milkweed where I find it (unless it is getting in the way of a plant I've been nurturing along.) In this case, I'm glad I left this. I love to stumble across monarch caterpillars, because monarch butterflies wont be far behind!

Thanks for visiting!

Aisling,

I just love the pic of the caterpillar on the milkweed! What lovely colors!

I know what you mean about breezy. It was for us, too, but it was great to see some sun after so much rain!

Happy 4th!

Ruth,

Yes I was happy to see the sun too. Our fourth of July was a perfect day, so I can't complain!

Thanks for visiting!

these pictures are so different from the winter ones I enjoyed when I first started following your blog - 6 months and all is different, the middle of summer vs winter. U do get to enjoy all the seasons, very nice for u :o)

Blessed, Yes, we definitely have all four seasons... each beautiful in its own way.
