Sunday Stroll - Sycamore

The light was serene beneath the Sycamore this morning.

Vinca and lush grass lie evergreen and waiting for spring

I leaned against the old Sycamore and
the chickadees hopped on and off the bird feeder
just a couple of feet from where I stood.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you a song in your heart.

I wish you a song in your heart... oh, that is nice.

I love the angle at which you've photographed your first photo here.

All the best Jan

Thanks to both Jans! :D

That tree has been here WAY longer than we have (pretty obviously) and what is amazing is that it is growing outside of its normal range. I have seen no other Sycamores near my home. I just love the beautiful bark, the leaves that look like maple leaves, but continue to grow all season until they are as large as dinner plates before turning golden brown in autumn.

Thank you for visiting and for letting me know you appreciate my tree and my photographs!

Lovely photos Marcie. We had a wonderful Sunday walk today too. Cold but sunny.
Take care.

Thank you, Robin. Glad you got out to walk. It is sunny and cold here too, but I've gone out in my sweatshirt only several times. It isn't really warm enough, but the sun is bright and I am ready to NOT have a winter coat on! lol

Have a great week ahead.

Hi Marcie! Love your Sunday Stroll photos. We have a big Sycamore tree like yours, and I love seeing the little round seed balls on the bare limbs.
Have a great evening!
